Re Education on Vinyl

WHY VINYL || RE EDUCATION

We have been saying it for ages- Vinyl is the best, chuck out the rest.
We need to remove the stigma that comes with it, so let’s clarify a few things.

From its invention, Luxury Vinyl Tiles (LVT) has come so far. It has gone from short, ugly and plastic looking boards that are hard to lay, to long, beautiful panels that you can't distinguish from real wood or ceramics/concrete and that out perform wood in every way.

LVT flooring has several layers. It has a stabilised backing layer with a high resolution photo of real wood or masonry laid on top. Over this print layer, multiple layers of transparent vinyl wear layer and tough, easy to clean polyurethane coating designed to resist wear and tear.

Here are the most obvious pros:

  • Wide choice of widths and styles that mimic real timber and ceramics/masonry.
  • Affordable and relatively easy to install
  • Designed to resist stains, scratches and household chemicals.
  • If installed properly, won't warp or shrink. Vinyl planks are durable, stable and moisture resistant.
  • Can tolerate under floor heating

Many vinyl flooring products available in Australia have also been certified under GreenTag LCA certification and achieve Level A ratings.

Polyflor Australia has also achieved verification of compliance with the Best Practice PVC Guidelines in Green Star for its sheet vinyls, possibly the most stringent performance requirement for PVC products anywhere in the world.

So, if that's not enough to convince you, what will?!
