When renovating schools, the right flooring goes beyond aesthetics, it enhances acoustics, safety, and student focus. Polyflor’s Palettone range at Emmanuel College helped create a better learning environment by combining a vibrant design with functionality. In the world of interior design, flooring is making a bold statement, offering rich texture, colour, and comfort. Palettone not only stands out for its aesthetic appeal but also its quality and environmental credentials, proving that aesthetics and durability can coexist.

Watson Young Architects is at the forefront of design, showcasing the latest colour and style trends across Australia. For the renovation of the Ransom Building at Emmanuel College, home to the Science and Technology department, Watson Young’s goal was to refurbish and redesign the space to enhance learning. The interior palette was reimagined to create an inviting, engaging environment for both staff and students using our Palettone range.

Polyflor’s Palettone range was the perfect choice for this renovation, bringing the design team’s creative vision to life. Its vibrant colours, durability, and ease of maintenance make it ideal for the high-traffic labs at Emmanuel College. Tough enough to withstand daily wear and tear, it’s also easy to clean, an essential feature for the busy Science and Technology department.

Polyflor offers a range of stylish, practical colours, allowing architects to tailor each room to both performance and aesthetic needs. The building now features three distinct learning spaces, each with a unique colour scheme to enhance the educational experience. Designed to foster a focused, engaging learning environment. The interior design team selected a combination of two shades from the Palettone range for each space, ensuring that the flooring complemented the classroom’s mood and purpose.

The subtle, consistent pattern of Palettone vinyl added visual interest, while large, curved cut-outs and a two-tone colour effect enhanced the dynamic flow of each room, perfectly complementing the overall design concept.

The installation of the flooring went smoothly, with standout features like the curved radius cutouts creating a striking two-tone effect that added flair to each classroom. The Palettone product was easy to work with, even when covering walls in the science labs, which require strict safety and cleaning standards.

The feedback from Emmanuel College has been overwhelmingly positive. The client praised how the flooring seamlessly integrates with each room’s colour scheme, enhancing the space’s atmosphere. Polyflor’s Palettone vinyl has transformed the Ransom Building into a dynamic, functional, and visually stimulating learning environment. The cohesive look of the flooring complements the other finishes throughout the building, contributing to a vibrant, inviting, and comfortable space where students and staff can thrive.
