Okatmos Star 200 L
Description
Solvent-free dispersion adhesive with very low emissions for conductively binding textile floor coverings (except needle felt coverings), homogeneous and heterogeneous PVC coverings in sheets and tiles, linoleum coverings up to 4 mm thick in sheets and tiles (not suitable for special rubber/special coverings). With its sanitising effect, Okatmos® star 200-L helps to prevent odours.

Higher temperatures and lower humidity reduce this value, while lower temperatures and higher humidity increase it.
- Substrate Preparation
The substrate must be tested and ready for laying in accordance with VOB, Part C, DIN 18365 as well as the best available technology. Prepare the substrate pursuant to the current BEB data sheet, “Assessment and preparation of substrates”, as well as data sheet TKB 8. Depending on the type of substrate, floor covering and load, prepare it for laying using suitable Kiesel primers/pre-coats and fillers.
The technical data sheets for the products used must be observed. The conductive system must be requested from the covering manufacturer. A system structure must be ensured.
- Processing
Stir Okatmos® star 200-L well before use. Then apply the adhesive to the substrate using the appropriate trowel. Replace the notched trowel provided when starting a new container. This guarantees even adhesive application and appropriate conductivity.
Depending on the conductive system, a minimum of 1 m long copper stripping must be laid with the adhesive layer for every 30 m² surface size and lead to an earth connection, or lay the copper strips wall to wall along and centrally under each tile or sheet row and connect them to one another with a wall distance of approximately 30 cm across. The copper stripping must be connected/earthed by an electrician in accordance with the VDE regulation.
Lay the floor covering without air pockets and rub carefully depending on the room climate, order quantity and absorbency of the substrate. Only apply as much adhesive as can be filled in the working time. Ensure that the backing of the covering is fully applied. Only fuse or seal the floor coverings 24 hours after laying.
For floor covering with high roll tension, back roll the head end or covering edges not horizontally lying flat before laying. After 30 minutes, rub down or roll the surfaces again.
Particular attention should be paid to the laying instructions from the covering manufacturer, most notably the notes on conductive transfer and acclimatisation.
Not to be handled in intense, direct sunlight!
