Veneziano Coffee Roasters

From Polyfor’s perspective, this project demonstrates how performance-driven surfaces can unlock creative design potential. The brief called for a playful, energetic space defined by strong colour and fluid, curved forms, something that required both aesthetic flexibility and commercial-grade performance.
 

The flooring scheme combines Saarfloor Noppe Stud Tiles in Cobalt with Expona Flow PUR in Toasted Oak 9822, creating a striking contrast between bold colour and warm, natural tones. This is complemented by Classic Mystique PUR benchtops in Delta Blue 1220 and Sorrel Bay 1580, delivering a cohesive material palette that extends across the space.
 

For designer Tahlia Kossen, Polyflor’s extensive range made it possible to fully realise the design intent. “The aesthetic, durability, availability, price and life-cycle circularity were all big ticks for the client and me, so it was an incredibly easy decision,” she explains. The ability to source a bold, saturated blue benchtop, paired with equally durable flooring, allowed the design to push boundaries while remaining practical for everyday use.
 

Polyflor products also played a key role in supporting the functionality of the space. Designed as a flexible training environment, the studio features curved, mobile counter pods that can be easily reconfigured for barista training and events. The durability and ease of maintenance of the flooring and benchtop surfaces ensure the space can withstand constant movement, heavy use, and spills without compromising on appearance.
 

This adaptability is reinforced by the material performance.

The project also required a high level of coordination across trades, particularly in aligning the curves of the flooring, joinery, and ceiling. Polyflor’s materials supported this precision, enabling seamless finishes and clean detailing, including expertly executed welded joins across the benchtop edges.
 

Ultimately, the Veneziano Coffee Roasters training studio highlights how Polyflor solutions go beyond performance, empowering designers to bring ambitious concepts to life. By combining durability, flexibility, and a rich colour palette, Polyflor helped create a space that is not only visually striking but built to perform in a demanding, real-world environment.
